Mesmeric Songwriter LINDSEY RAY Releases Pristine Full-Length Debut 'Goodbye From California'
New York, NY – Fresh off the heals of an impressive album release show at Los Angeles’ famed Hotel Café, accomplished chanteuse Lindsey Ray has just unveiled ‘GOODBYE FROM CALIFORNIA’ (Out Now, LRay Records / Redeye Distribution), an upbeat and empowering full-length debut that is sure to place her at the forefront of the current crop of singer-songwriter talent. Mastered by veteran producers Bill Lefler(Ingrid Michaelson, Dashboard Confessional) and Curt Schneider (Five For Fighting, Mitchell Musso), the album showcases an artful pairing of crisp, catchy melodies with pensive narratives, all beautifully sung with warm, endearing vocals comparable to Ingrid Michaelson or Sara Barielles. Featured tracks on ‘GOODBYE FROM CALIFORNIA’ include “Brand New Day” featuring Tim Myers (formerly of OneRepublic), “You Make Me Happy” and the infectious title track.
In November 2009, Ray released her debut effort ‘Picture Perfect’, a 6-track EP also produced by Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Dashboard Confessional, Gym Class Heroes). Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with leading songwriters such as Justin Gray (Joss Stone, Emma Bunton), Lindy Robbins (Nick Lachey, Backstreet Boys), and Shep Solomon (Kelly Clarkson, David Cook). Standing as a tangible validation to Ms. Ray’s compelling talents, her music has been featured in numerous primetime television shows and national TV campaigns, including: CBS’ The Ghost Whisperer, NBC’s Chuck and Mercy, MTV’s The Real World: Hollywood, and Lifetime’s original movie Sorority Wars, and a national Target TV ad campaign, prominently featuring the song “Brand New Day”. Recently, Lindsey teamed up with Swedish producer K-One on the side project “Spinning Me Out”, a pop/dance track featured in Facebook’s Nightclub City game, a license which has netted her nearly 36,000 fans within the first three weeks of the song’s debut in this game.
Currently, Lindsey is heavily promoting ‘GOODBYE FROM CALIFORNIA’ with select performances scheduled along the West Coast. On September 22nd, she will return toThe Hotel Café, sharing the bill with Bleu and Mike Viola. Ray plans to announce dates for her upcoming fall tour shortly.
